IMC/Teddy Holds 2nd Annual Food & Fund Drive with Island Harvest

It’s that time of year again & IMC/Teddy is back for a 2nd round of giving back to the community!
After the great success of last year’s partnership with Island Harvest, we have run back the food & fund drive for 2025. What were the results? Let's break it down:
About Island Harvest
First, a quick recap of Island Harvest. Island Harvest is a local hunger relief organization with the mission to end hunger & reduce food waste on Long Island, NY.
Their main objective is to provide the highest-quality food, advocacy, resources, product & services to those in need, while advancing the potential of staff & volunteers. Island Harvest believes in the values of commitment, respect, success, diversity, equity, inclusion & safety.
Island Harvest is a proud member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks leading the fight against hunger in the U.S.
IMC Once Again Heeded the Call
IMC/Teddy internally announced its participation in a Food & Fund Drive on May 30, 2025. The drive officially began on June 2, 2025 and lasted until June 30, 2025. IMC's goal was to donate 200 pounds of items (a major upgrade over last year’s 50-pound goal). Over the course of those 4 weeks, IMC's team started to make generous donations & the drive was in full motion.
The drive ended & it was time for IMC to deliver the donations to Island Harvest. IMC loaded up the filled boxes & made the trek to Island Harvest. Upon arrival, we were once again cordially greeted by Bena Halloran, who is Island Harvest's Food Collection Coordinator. As a sign of our great partnership & dedication, IMC donated $1,000 to Island Harvest in addition to the item contributions.
..And the Results?
The results are in & we cleared our initial goal of 200 pounds! In fact, IMC donated a booming 210 pounds of items! Using a conversion, this translates to 175 total meals supported.
As mentioned, IMC also donated $1,000 to Island Harvest. Every $1.00 donated supports 2 meals, totaling 2000 meals.
With the final tally, IMC supported a staggering 2175 meals. Another successful food drive had been accomplished!
We Did It, So Can You
The 2nd time giving back was just as rewarding as the 1st time around. IMC is committed to nourishing Long Island’s future & we feel honored to contribute to the cause. Due to the massive success, we happily plan to return next year for the 3rd iteration of the Food & Fund Drive.
