IMC/Teddy: Your Premier Floor Trough Manufacturer
Floor troughs are the heart & soul of IMC/Teddy. We proudly consider them to be our flagship product since the start of the company in 1955. With so many years of experience, we are confident that we can deliver the most beautiful & functional floor troughs to you using the highest quality stainless steel.
We’d like to take a deep dive below into some of our greatest floor trough milestones & offer you some advantages of utilizing an IMC floor trough for your project. Here are 5 reasons to consider IMC floor troughs for your application:
1. Influential Floor Trough Styles & Designs
There is a saying that goes “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
IMC floor trough styles & designs are some of the most prominent in the market today. Other competitors seek ways to imitate our floor troughs, but nothing can compare to the quality & craftsmanship that IMC puts forward. Floor troughs are our signature item, we know what it takes to fabricate a bleeding edge product.
Floor troughs are not the only product frequently duplicated by competitors. Other items such as cabinets & utility sinks are often mimicked. With that said, IMC still remains as a market leader in the food service industry offering 100% American made stainless steel products. There is no substitute for quality.
2. 1st NSF Listed Floor Trough EVER
In 1986, IMC took the giant leap forward by offering the first floor trough recognized & certified by NSF (short for National Sanitation Foundation). No other manufacturer had done this before, IMC lead the charge.
Why is this important? In today’s world where hygiene & safety are paramount, NSF certified products are vital for your facility. Having NSF approved products in your facility means trust & satisfaction that you’re using the safest & most sanitary equipment possible. Check out our full list of NSF products here.
3. Innovator in Stock Floor Troughs – Shipping in 1-2 Days
IMC understands that the market is fast paced & shipping dates are critical for your project. IMC offers a stock items program, which enables us to ship you any of our popular model floor troughs to you in 1-2 days.
This is handy for those times when you must meet your crucial project deadlines. When other competitors can take several weeks to ship out just one trough, we can come through in the clutch to deliver for you.
To put the above into context – we had a dealer in California who needed 52 troughs in 2 weeks during the height of the season. The IMC team came together & shipped them out the door right on time, so the job site could meet their opening date.
Time & time again floor troughs are forgotten to be ordered so IMC keeps a large quantity of stock to meet everyone’s needs. From customers wanting to ship troughs next day air or wanting to pick up the same day. Dealers may see it as a challenge, IMC sees it as business as usual.
4. Largest Selection of Floor Troughs
When IMC started, we offered only four basic floor trough models. Today, we offer the largest selection of floor troughs in the market. From anti-splash, to shallow, to drain systems – we are there to meet your most demanding requirements.
IMC is also a proud partner of AutoQuotes & KCL. All of our floor troughs can be found directly on AutoQuotes, allowing you to easily specify them for your project. AutoCAD & Revit files can be found on KCL for most of our floor troughs. Keeping up to date is important, this is why IMC ensures that all of these listings are accurate to better serve you.
4. Not Just Standard – Custom Too
IMC can manufacture any standard size trough up to 120″ long & 30″ wide. Our narrowest trough is 4″ wide, which is perfect for doorways or perimeter of rooms. But we don’t stop there.
IMC is fully capable of fabricating floor troughs up to 35′ in length & much longer! Also, IMC can fabricate your floor trough into specially shaped designs. Check out some examples of our custom shaped troughs below:
In 1994, IMC pioneered & started offering its own proprietary seepage flange technology for your floor troughs. In short, a seepage flange prevents any liquid that may seep through the floor, tile, grout or cracks. Instead, the water seeps down to the waterproof membrane & guided into the trough. No more water coming through the ceiling & spilling onto the floor below. Furthermore, we have different options for all types of flooring out there.
IMC/Teddy continues to be at the forefront of product innovation & design. Our engineering & marketing team is constantly looking for ways to bring a competitive advantage to our customers. Our production team takes great pride in their craft & is not satisfied until they have reached perfection. Rest assured, we care about your business as much as we do our own.
