How Do Meal Delivery Carts Combat COVID-19?
It’s no secret that institutional facilities such as hospitals, senior living homes & correctional facilities have been hit the hardest with the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The population density factor inside these facilities is the main culprit for this. But, with such high infection rates, it may come as a surprise that meal delivery carts (hereafter known as tray carts) are leading the way in mitigating the spread of the virus.
In this article, we will go over the intrinsic health value of tray carts & offer up some IMC products that are helping to keep your institution safe & hygienic. Let’s hop in.
What’s the Real Value of a Tray Cart in an Institutional Setting?
There are two ways of seeing this: the holistic health approach & the equipment approach.
The health benefit is this: delivering warm, nutritious meals can meet patient satisfaction & help aid in the healing process. Tray carts are vital for giving your patients the healing care they need with fast, efficient & quiet meal delivery.
The equipment approach lies in the stainless steel construction. Stainless steel carts will not stain, absorb odors or rust & the tray slides can be removed for easy cleaning. It is proven that stainless steel is the most sanitary material when cleaned & cared for properly. Most tray cart doors swing back 270° & can be held in open position by a latch for service & cart washing. In today’s world where cleanliness & hygiene is at the forefront of everyone’s mind, this is the biggest advantage.
Stainless steel tray carts are guaranteed to last you through the day-in day-out abuse of a high volume facility. Cheaper plastic & aluminum carts just can’t stand up to this amount of strength.
