The Ultimate Guide to IMC Mixer Tables

Mixers & blenders are two common pieces of equipment in any commercial kitchen, especially bakeries & pizzerias. As with any piece of equipment, the size & weight of your equipment will vary. You’ll need a sturdy stainless steel top to support your items. IMC’s mixer tables are a suitable solution. How do they stand up to the competition though?

In this article, we will break down IMC’s 3 mixer table offerings & give you some key advantages of having them in your facility. Let’s jump right in.

Model #SMT – IMC’s Flagship Mixer Table

Model #SMT is IMC’s flagship standard offering for mixer tables. The top & understructure is constructed from 14-gauge type 300 series stainless steel. The included undershelf is constructed from 18-gauge stainless steel & welded to the legs 10″ above floor. The legs & adjustable bullet feet are also constructed of stainless steel – no galvanized steel is used.

Each SMT includes (4) heavy duty rubber type casters, (2) of which are equipped with brakes. This allows your unit to be transported around your facility with ease.

The unit ships assembled so no complicated setup is needed. Here’s a full breakdown below:

Model #SMTT – A Mixer Table with an Added Flair

Model #SMTT includes all the bells & whistles of the above Model #SMT, but with something a little extra. An integrated tool tree rounds out the package.

The tool tree is 56″ high & 1⅝” in diameter. It includes welded ⅜” prongs/legs for tools. This is useful for keeping your important utensils such as whisks or paddles close by when using your mixer/blender. If you find yourself constantly using a number of different tools, a tool tree will be a life saver.

Model #SMS – A Mixer Table Hybrid

Model #SMS combines the functionality of a slicer & mixer table into one complete unit. The unit has a 14-gauge type 300 series stainless steel marine top, an 18-gauge undershelf & 14-gauge tray slides continuously welded to the legs. Model #SMS comes with heavy duty 5″ diameter casters (two with brakes), while the variant model #SMSS comes with stainless steel adjustable legs. The unit features an open cabinet body enclosed on 2 sides.

The product features the distinct tool tree found in the previous Model #SMTT & adds in tray rails typically found in slicer tables. This is useful for operators who have a variety of equipment on hand. The tray slides are great for transporting & storing hand appliances & other accessories. Here’s a look:

Why IMC Mixer Tables?

Simply put, IMC mixer tables can easily accompany any commercial mixer or blender ranging from 5 qt. up to the gigantic 140 qt. With the durable construction of each IMC mixer table, there is no worry of damage.

Another advantage is the lower height. The lower height gives you a more comfortable working position when operating a mixer/blender. The common height of IMC mixer tables is 30″. This is important because having a piece of equipment on a higher table can make it more difficult to use & it greatly increases the risk of accidents while on the job.

As with all IMC stainless steel food service equipment, customization options & accessories are available to make your mixer table perfect. To name a few, you can equip yours with a drop shelf, accessory holder, additional undershelf, or bumpers to protect against wall/corner damage.

IMC/Teddy only manufactures mixer tables using the finest type 300 series stainless steel. This makes them superior to the competition that is using inferior galvanized steel, plastic feet & gussets. For a closer look at IMC’s mixer/slicer tables, click here.
