We’re back again with our 3rd round of giving back to the community!
After bringing in an impressive number of donations last year with Island Harvest, we brought back the drive again for 2026. How did we do? Let's jump right into it:
About Island Harvest
Quickly recapping, Island Harvest is a local hunger relief organization with the mission to end hunger & reduce food waste on Long Island, NY.
Their main objective is to provide the highest-quality food, advocacy, resources, products & services to those in need, while advancing the potential of staff & volunteers. Island Harvest believes in the values of commitment, respect, success, diversity, equity, inclusion & safety.
Island Harvest is a proud member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks leading the fight against hunger in the U.S.
Third Time Is a Charm
IMC/Teddy internally announced its participation in a Food & Fund Drive on June 2, 2026. The drive officially began on the same day & lasted until June 30, 2026. Over the course of several weeks, donations came pouring in with a variety of items such as canned goods, paper products & other non-perishables.
The drive concluded & it was time for IMC to deliver the donations to Island Harvest. IMC loaded up the filled boxes & made the journey to Island Harvest once again. As a sign of our great partnership & dedication, IMC also donated $1,000 to Island Harvest in addition to the item contributions.
The Results Are In!
IMC donated a stellar 194 pounds of items! Using a conversion (1.2 pounds = 1 meal), this translates to 162 total meals supported.
As mentioned, IMC also donated $1,000 to Island Harvest. Every $1.00 donated supports 2 meals, totaling 2000 meals.
With the final tally, IMC supported a staggering 2162 meals. Another successful food drive had been accomplished!
It’s Your Turn
The 3rd time giving back was just as fun & meaningful as the previous two occasions. With newer members of our team donating for the first time, we were honored to contribute to the cause. We are all set to run it back again for a 4th year in a row next year & hope to break our own record.
