IMC/Teddy State of the Union – Q2 2024

Let’s talk IMC/Teddy! With half of the year over with, we wanted to give you a quick update on our recent activities & a quick peek into what’s ahead for the rest of the 2024. We’re proud to share with you these company developments & hope you will be along for the ride for the rest of the year. Let’s begin.

1. Factory Improvements

We’re always on a mission of improving our facility & we’ve done just that. We removed our old Amada HFE 220-4S that was 21 years old & replaced it with a brand new Amada HG 2204 ATC Press Brake. The upgrade is a major improvement & we’ve been seeing positive results.

Apart from the press brake, we also replaced our aging WYSONG P28-131 shear with a new HACO HSLX 2006. This new model is more compact & offers better reliability. With this machine, we are able to cut through stainless steel with ease.

We will be releasing full recap videos on the above in the coming weeks, stay tuned.

Along with the above, we’ve rearranged our factory to simplify the layout & give our hard-working employees extra room to perform tasks. We are planning on releasing an updated factory tour video to give you all the details. In the meantime, you can check out the current factory tour videos here.

2. New/Redesigned Items

Over the last 6 months, we’ve introduced 2 new products & a product redesign into our ever growing lineup.

The first new product is Model #CMSC-MT Mat Cabinet. Introduced in May, CMSC-MT is IMC’s next evolution in our mop sink cabinet series with a primary focus on sanitizing your mats. Along with this, it is perfect for storage & emptying/filling buckets as usual. CMSC-MT is available now – check out the product here.

The second product introduced is Model #SDTH-8 Silverware Dispenser & Tray Holder. Also introduced in May, this product is a spin on a classic IMC item that dates all the way back to 1965. SDTH-8 is ideal for any buffet or cafeteria service where silverware & trays are primarily used. It’s our most modern cart & its small footprint makes it useful for your service. Check out the full story here.

Going far back into the month of February, we introduced a redesigned Portable Hand Sink (Model #PHS). We went to the drawing board & decided to eliminate many parts & clean up the interior for a more friendly user experience without the clutter. We also made the appearance more attractive with an electronic gooseneck faucet & cleaner styling. Check out the video overview here

Rest assured – we are not stopping here. Check back later in the year for a few more surprises as we gear up for The NAFEM Show.

3. Even More Stock Items

Our enhanced production speed has allowed us to add even more stock items to our growing list. These items are available for fast turnaround – meaning they can be shipped from our factory in 1-2 days.

In fact, this year has seen the biggest increase in stock products in years. We added a total of 52 items to our stock list. Many of which are 3″OD drain versions of our most popular troughs. We also added several other floor trough models & shelving to the list as well.

We plan on adding a few additional items before the year is over, check back shortly!

4. Team Expansion

Since the beginning of the year, we have added four new members to the IMC/Teddy family.

We’ve upgraded our polishing department with two highly qualified individuals, Anthony & Sergio. Both of them bring a wealth of experience & expertise to the department. Anthony also aids our shipping department when the need comes forth. Furthermore, Sergio has 8 years of valuable experience polishing stainless steel.

We’ve also brought our press brake department up a notch with the inclusion of Anibal, who also has extensive knowledge on the Amada lasering system we have in place.

Most recently, we welcomed Christopher into IMC’s office. Christopher will be one of the leaders of our Programming department & brings an impressive IT background with him.

We are happy to have them on board & we believe their qualifications will help bring IMC to the next level. To see our full team, click here.

5. Representative Overhaul

IMC has gone through a major representative makeover since the beginning of the year. In particular, our West Coast map has gone through changes with Desert Peak Marketing taking over much of the Mountain & Northwest regions.

Yesterday, we welcomed Helix Solutions Group into our Central region as they bring an abundance of foodservice knowledge & experience with them.

IMC’s rep network is highly qualified, courteous, knowledgeable & loyal. We appreciate their unending support. If you want to learn more about our representatives, check them out here.

With these improvements in place, it is a pleasure to see the company grow at this rate in just 6 months. With that said, we are cordially opening ourselves to you for in-person factory tours if you wish. Please contact Suzanne Meno (Ext. 9517, imcteddy@aol.com) to schedule your factory visit. We look forward to showing you around our facility!

Please feel free to contact us to discuss further. Here’s to a happy & successful new year!
