The Ultimate Guide to IMC Stainless Steel Floor Troughs Pt. 2 – FT, ASFT, SFT & CFT
Welcome to part 2 of our floor trough series! In this part, we will go into detail on the 4 classic troughs that have been with IMC since the very beginning. Each of these floor troughs is made in the USA in our factory in Amityville, NY using only type 300 series stainless steel.
Let’s look at Models #FT, #ASFT, #SFT & #CFT.
Model #FT – The Classic Floor Trough
Model #FT is a fantastic all around floor trough suitable for most standard applications. It is made from 14-gauge type 300 series stainless steel with an overall depth is 4″.
The trough is integrally pitched ¼” per foot to a 6½” OD waste outlet with 4” OD tailpiece.
The trough comes with a perforated basket strainer as a standard.

Model #ASFT – For Larger Spill Areas
Model #ASFT introduces anti-splash technology, which is designed to keep pooling/splashing water inside the trough. This leads to a dry environment & less hazards for you. The trough is ideal for areas where you will see heavy water spillage.
The trough itself is constructed from 14-gauge type 300 series stainless steel with an overall depth is 6″. On a side note, this trough has the largest depth out of all the standard troughs that IMC manufactures.
The trough is integrally pitched towards 6½” OD waste outlet with 4” OD tailpiece.
The trough comes with a perforated basket strainer as a standard.

Model #SFT – For Larger Spill Areas
Model #SFT is IMC’s shallow floor trough. The trough has the shortest depth out of all IMC troughs at only 2″. Opposite of the Model #ASFT, this model is ideal for areas where you will see light spills. The trough is also ideal for areas with floor thickness limits. The trough itself is constructed from 14-gauge type 300 series stainless steel.
The trough is integrally pitched ¼” per foot to a 6½” OD waste outlet with 4” OD tailpiece.
The trough comes with a perforated basket strainer as a standard.

Model #CFT – IMC’s Economical Floor Trough
Model #CFT is IMC’s budgetary floor trough solution. It is a great choice to use for the simplest of projects. It is made from 16-gauge type 300 series stainless steel with a one piece construction. The overall depth is 4″.
Each of the corners are coved horizontally. The trough is integrally pitched towards the waste outlet.
The trough comes with a beehive strainer as a standard & features a 4″ OD tailpiece.

The above 4 floor troughs have been in IMC’s lineup for over 60 years. To this day, they still remain as our most popular offerings available.
